I spent my first-ever ski day at Arapahoe Basin “A” Basin in my early 30’s and fell in love twice over—with the Rocky Mountains and the sport of skiing.

From then on I had a dream: to live surrounded by mountains. While living in San Francisco, I explored various mountain areas, but I continually found myself coming back to the Colorado Rockies. Eventually, I bought a townhouse in Vail as a second home. Within fifteen months, I was living there full time. My dream had come true.

I was very fortunate in having work that was portable and skills that transfer. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in accounting and spent fourteen years in Washington, DC as controller of several small community banks. I gained solid experience in information systems, too, providing leading edge products and services to our customers

This experience led to a second career. I left banking to sell and manage the implementation of banking technology and software. Over the next ten years, my clients included community and fortune 500 banks, credit card processors, and mutual fund companies.

My third career, as a Realtor@ builds on those that came before. With a solid business, financial, and technical background, I bring a depth of knowledge to my clients. Having lived and worked in many different places is an asset, too. The Boston-based technology company I worked for allowed me to move from San Francisco to Vail, and continue to serve clients. And I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the heart of Amish country, a region, like Vail, whose economy has a strong tourist component, whose community has a distinctive feel, and whose environment is marked by natural beauty and serenity.

How long have I lived here? It depends when you start counting. I bought the townhouse in 2000, six years ago. My heart recognized its home years before, on that fateful ski trip.
